Friends Of The Oxford Library
Every year the Friends of the Library has their book sale.
The book sale is held during the Dan Patch Days festival the second weekend in
September.
We have great patrons at our Library and we are always being
given Books, videos, and anything else patrons think we might be able to use.
Why do we sell it? Sometimes we get two of something, or a book is a little too
used, and we need to replace it. Sometimes people just give us stuff to sell to
make money. We have a full size storage locker that is bursting at the seams
from so much stuff. The Friends of the Library sells the books and such with
all of the proceeds going to help the Library thru the year. What a great way
to help the Library while getting some good bargains too.
The Friends of the Oxford Library is a group of volunteers that have a shared commitment to the Oxford Library. The Friends holds various fundraisers through out the year with the biggest being the annual book sale during Dan Patch Days weekend. With the money raised the Friends are able to fund activities, and special events that the Library would otherwise be unable to afford. All of the money raised be the friends group goes to the library. You can join the Friends group. Just give the library a call and speak with our director.
